MCBI's mission is to help businesses grow so that our economy grows.
Formed in 2004 through collaboration by business owners, higher educations, and local/state government, MCBI was founded to help grow economic activity in Southeastern Ohio. MCBI partners with three local universities, TechGrowth Ohio, the East Central Ohio Tech Angel Fund (ECOTAF) and numerous businesses and successful entrepreneurs to create an ecosystem of entrepreneurship for the region.
MCBI is located on the Zane State College Campus adjacent to the IDEA Lab, a high-tech maker space where inventors and entrepreneurs build product prototypes.
MCBI has provided services to hundreds of businesses in the region and is directly responsible for adding or retaining more than 175 jobs. Each year, the local economy experiences in excess of 8 million in economic impact through the efforts of MCBI.
MCBI's vision is to create more than 30-40 companies and more than 400 jobs by 2017.
MCBI is a 501c(3) organization.
