MCBI Regional Incubator for Entrepreneurs honors Board Members.
The President of the Board of Directors, Don Wietmarschen, thanked the exiting members at the Board’s November meeting. Several of the individuals have been a part of the incubator’s success since its inception in 2005. All are outstanding community leaders dedicating their time and effort to help create a business incubator with programs to promote small business growth. “These 4 individuals had the vision to understand that our region must be forward thinking in assisting (incubating) small businesses in order for them to become healthy contributors to the region’s economy. In 2012 alone MCBI helped to create 60 jobs and an Economic Impact of over $8 million dollars” said Carol Humphreys, Executive Director of MCBI.
The past board members include; Mary Kaufmann- Pillar Technology Group, Tom Lyall – Century National Bank, Mike Nash- Tri-Y Corporation, and Tom Selock- North Valley Bank.
Newly appointed Board members include; John Knight formerly of Fabri-/Form, Paul Prater – AEP, Mary Jane Shackelford – Barnes Advertising and Michael Steen – Community Bank.
