Executive Director - Carol Humphreys

Carol Humphreys has been the Executive Director of the Muskingum County Business Incubator (MCBI) in Zanesville, Ohio since its inception in September of 2005. During her tenure the MCBI has served over 1000 entrepreneurs and grown into a regional incubator serving 10 counties.
    Previously Carol was the General Manager of the Holiday Inn in Zanesville and worked for the Zanesville/Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce in the Small Business Development Office. Carol is the Past Chairman of the Muskingum County Workforce Development Board and belonged on the United Way Advisory Board as well as the Advisory Board of Genesis Hospital. She was the Chair of the Muskingum County Operation Feed Campaign for 2005, 2006 and 2007 helping raise over 4 million dollars to feed the hungry and was the 2006 Women of Achievement in Business, award winner. Carol grew up in Indiana and attended Ball State University. She and her husband Charlie live in Philo, Ohio

 MEP Field Engineer - Sherry Stewart

Sherry Stewart, who was the Executive-In-Residence for MCBI since January 2011, has been selected as  the MEP Field Engineer in the southeastern region of Ohio.  Ms. Stewart’s office is located at MCBI Regional Incubator in Zanesville.  She will be meeting with manufacturers to identify areas of need and assist in developing solution-based plans.  Her expertise includes Process Improvement, Organizational, Executive & Leadership Development; Change Management, Strategic Planning, Capital Access, Succession Planning and Exit Strategies.  As well as Start-up expertise, including market entry and strategies, IT, MRP & ERP system selection and implementation.  Prior to joining MCBI’s staff, Ms. Stewart was the Vice President of a group of 5 privately held corporations in the Pittsburgh area with combined annual revenues of over $25 million and over 180 employees.  In addition to operational and financial responsibilities, her accomplishments included the successful start-up of a manufacturing facility, commercial real estate investments, contract negotiations, and sales and marketing strategies.  For 20 years prior to her corporate career, Ms. Stewart was a successful entrepreneur experienced with both start-ups and acquisitions.  She attended Ohio State University. Ms. Stewart and her husband Dwight live in Zanesville, Ohio.

 Administrative Assistant - Jo White

Jo White became a member of the Muskingum County Business Incubator family in February 2011, as Administrative Assistant. She has close to 30 years’ experience working in different office environments. Jo graduated from Zane State College in June 2010, with an Associate Degree in Administrative Office Assistance and from Hocking College in June 1994, with an Associate Degree in Accounting. Jo is from Southeastern Athens County OH. She and her husband Mitch reside in East Fultonham, OH.

 IT Program Manager - Ted Fannin

Ted Fannin joined the Muskingum County Business Incubator in April 2009 as an intern for the IT webmaster position. He comes to us from Zane State College with 2 degrees of applied business. He specializes in Interactive Digital Media and E-Commerce. These areas of specialtyl allow him the opportunity to create web sites and manage projects in order to make the Muskingum County Business Incubator more visible in the virtual world.
      Ted, his wife and 3 daughters, reside in the Cambridge area. He grew up around the Byesville area and after graduating from Meadowbrook High School, he served our country in the U.S. Air Force for seven years before returning to his hometown. Ted states that he is thankful for the oppurtunity to be able to work with such a great team of people.
